Corporate Deaths

Brusque ruffling of those blank papers,
ambitions touching skyscrapers.
Eyes are glazed with a dead-beat stare.
Lived through square deaths but we don’t care.

Now and then you see them banging,
unnerving, the silence hanging.
Walls the colour of flat despair.
Lived through square deaths but we don’t care.

Monotonous routine wears down,
the torpid minds which run this town.
So bring on the fun and fanfare.
Lived through square deaths but we don’t care.
